For many years, the residents of Yasynovata of the Donetsk region did not have their standard temple while there were only adapted and prayer rooms. In 1996, on the initiative of the residents, it was decided to build a temple in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul. A year later, the cross was consecrated at the site of the temple and a stone was laid. The first foundation block was consecrated only in 2001. The perceived lack of material resources was the main cause of long-term construction works.
